The content of the Belvedere archive is accessible to the interested public via an online database. The continuously increasing inventory of the archive submits the query to more than 20,000, mainly Austrian artists.

The current structure of the database offers a search by the artist’s name. Beside the most important biographic data there is the possibility to figure out in which estate of the Belvedere you can find relevant material.

The artists’ documentation is composed of the bequests Hans Ankwicz-Kleehoven (1883-1962), Rudolf Schmidt (1894-1980), the archive of the Neue Galerie and the artists’ documentation of Werner J. Schweiger (1949-2011).
